Merla Jewellery is a small jewellery shop in Stockholm. We hand-pick earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets in small runs — often a single piece of each design. You are unlikely to meet someone wearing the same thing.

What the jewellery is made of

Mostly gold-plated brass. Many earrings have 925 sterling silver posts, which is stated in the product description where it applies. Pearls are real freshwater pearls where stated.

Gold plating is a surface layer, not solid gold. It lasts longer if you take the piece off when you swim, shower and exercise, and store it dry.

The jewellery is nickel-free. Ear posts are 925 sterling silver, a common choice for sensitive ears. If a piece still irritates your skin, get in touch — you get your money back.

Jewellery as a gift

Many of the smaller pieces work well as a gift — they are easy to post on, and nothing comes in a size that has to fit. Most of the rings are adjustable, so you do not need to know the recipient's ring size.
